Position Summary

 

The Kitchen Manager plays a vital role in our culinary team, ensuring the efficient operation of our kitchen.

With a keen eye for detail and exceptional organizational skills, the Kitchen Manager oversees daily food

preparation, coordinates kitchen staff, and enforces strict adherence to quality and safety standards.

 

Duties:

·         Supervise, coordinate and organize the workflow and set work schedules for food servers, kitchen staff, and other supporting staff;

·         Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation;

·         Supervise and check the assembly of regular and special food orders;

·         Ensure the process of meal preparation strictly to observe relevant health and safety regulations;

·         Provide orientation and training for new staff in job duties and health and safety procedures;

·         Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage;

·         Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards;

·         Responsible for opening and closing procedures;

·         Supervise and coordinate day to day management and business operation.

 

Qualifications:

·         Minimum 3+ years of experience

·         Completion of college in food service or relevant program or equivalent experience

·         Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff, as well as clear communication with management.

·         Strong organizational skills to manage inventory, control costs, and schedule staff efficiently.

·         Effective leadership and management skills to coordinate and motivate kitchen staff.

 

Working Conditions:

·         Must be flexible to work on evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed

Salary $45,000.00 (CAD) per year
