Junior Sous Chef
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Assist head chef in planning, directing, and supervising food preparation and cooking activities of chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff
· Assist head chef in planning menus and ensuring the quality standard of food and service
· Responsible for the preparation of all menu items and daily specials
· Train kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operation
· Maintain work location clean and safe and follow food safety procedure
· Ensure proper stocking of food items and fills all necessary paperwork as needed
· Perform other duties as assigned by head chef
Requirements:
· 3+ years’ experience working in a commercial kitchen environment
· Minimum one year of educational studies for culinary skills
· Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy items and standing for long periods of time
· Able to work under pressure, produce results, handle numerous tasks at once
· Team player, able to work in close conditions with several other people
· Knowledge and understanding of health and safety regulations
· Able to work flexible shifts including mostly evenings and weekend

Wage – $20.00 (CAD) per hour
