Reporting to the executive chef/kitchen manager, prepare and cook various dishes for restaurant and lounge guests as well as assist with preparing, cooking and presenting dishes for special guests, functions and events. You will ensure high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety. As part of an expereineced kitchen team, you will work with exceptional seasonal produvts and may also assist with developping new dishes and menus.

Responsibilities:
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking ( chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting metas etc.)
Cook food in various utensils or grillers
Check food while cooking to stir ot turn
Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
Keep a sanitised and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Check quality of ingredients
Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
Follow instructions in cooking, delvering and presenting meals
Maintain a positive, supportive attitude
Ensuring high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
Ensuring work stations are kept clean – assist other stations as needed
Taking orders from the wait staff and preparing food according to customer preference
Monitoring and managing cooking tools and ingredients
Making adjustments to accommodate clients with specific diet and health concerns
