Job Requirements


College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

1 year to less than 2 years

Own tools/equipment
Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves, Mask

Set up, program and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines, Fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures and other wood products, Operate gluing machines to glue pieces of wood together or press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces, Operate preset particular purpose woodworking machines to fabricate wood products, Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions, Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment, Replace parts as required

Equipment and machinery experience
Computerized woodworking machine, Drills, Gluing machines, Planers, Routers, Sanders, Saws, Computer numerical control (CNC) machines, Door machine

Work conditions and physical capabilities
Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods
