Responsibilities
Tasks:
• Determine whether welds meet standards and/or specifications by examining them.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• Use brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
• Interpret welding process specifications.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
• Determine whether materials are weldable.
• Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal.
