Job Description:
Akali Singh Sikh Society (Temple) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Website Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web design, user experience, and graphic design, and will be responsible for creating and maintaining a functional, visually appealing, and user-friendly website for our temple.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and maintain the website for the Akali Singh Sikh Society (Temple)
· Ensure the website is easy to navigate and visually consistent with the temple’s branding
· Work collaboratively with staff members to ensure the website meets the needs of the temple and its visitors
· Regularly update the website with event schedules, community news, and other relevant content
· Implement SEO best practices to increase website visibility
· Troubleshoot website issues and ensure its functionality across various devices and browsers
· Provide recommendations for improving the website’s performance and user experience
Education Requirements:
· A diploma or degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field
· Relevant work experience in website design and development is preferred
· Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and popular content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Joomla)
Required Skills:
· Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing websites
· Experience with web development tools, platforms, and design software
· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
· Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams
· Knowledge of SEO principles and techniques is an asset
