SALARY: $25.50 per Hour
HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 30 to 35 Hours/Week
WORK SETTING: Warehouse
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and plan logistics operations including shipping, receiving, storing, and
distributing materials, parts, and products.
Coordinate and schedule transportation crews and routes to optimize delivery
and distribution efficiency.
Review and adjust schedules as necessary to meet operational demands to
improve service delivery, efficient handling and transportation of goods.
Manage the smooth operation of computer systems, equipment, and machinery
used in logistics.
Coordinate maintenance and repair activities to ensure all systems function
effectively and are maintained in good working order.
Resolve issues and complaints related to logistics and transportation processes
and implement corrective actions to address problems to enhance operational
performance.
Train and develop staff in their roles related to logistics and transportation and
ensure employees are well-versed in job duties and operational procedures, also
conduct performance reviews.
Oversee inventory management, including requisitioning supplies and materials
needed for logistics operations and to maintain accurate records for stock control
and management.
Ensure compliance with safety and security policies, procedures, and regulations
applicable to transportation and logistics by actively participating in their
enhancement.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of college in related discipline.
Minimum 7 months to 1 year of experience is required in the position or related
position
Ability to supervise 5-10 people.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented multi-tasking environment
Ability to lift heavy weights, meet tight deadlines and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and high level of
confidentiality, integrity, ethics and professionalism
Basic knowledge of Microsoft office, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS
Outlook, MS Windows would be an asset.
Ability to work independently, flexible for all shifts, good time management,
organizational, good teamwork and Interpersonal Skills.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
