Job Title: Transportation Logistics Manager (NOC 70020)
Location: Scarborough, ON
Hours: 35 hours per week, permanent full-time
Vacancy: 1
Wages: $50.5/hour
Job duties:
Oversees the shipping and delivery of products with internal stuff
Set operations policies and standards for safety procedures of handling products
Oversee the dispatch, maintenance and service of transportation vehicles of company
Manage the loading of trucks, set up delivery routes
Manage inventory and maintain communications with carriers and suppliers
Analyze product orders to research the need for the products in stock
Research, track and correct any shipment problems
Quickly respond to new orders and ensure products delivery on time
Ensure productivity targets are achieved and that processes are running smoothly and efficiently
Ensure compliance with health and safety and other legal requirements
· Work cross-functionally with other department to achieve strategic goals for the business and prepare reports for senior management
· Ensure all team members are trained and performing in a safe and efficient manner according to general instruction and established standards
Experience and Education Requirement:
Completion of a college or university program
At least 2 years supervisor experience in the field are required
Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
