The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Full-Time Multi Grade Secondary Teacher at Red Earth Creek School. This position is to commence as soon as possible and will be a continuing, permanent position.
Red Earth Creek School is situated in the hamlet of Red Earth Creek, located about 162 kms from Peace River. This school services students in grade K-12 and supports a commitment to academics and various extra-curricular programs such as basketball, hockey, volleyball, and computer club. Red Earth Creek school borders the Look Lake and Swampy Lake first nations. This is a very remote location.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in teaching in a multi grade environment from grades 1-12
Strong classroom management skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
Excellent communication skills with students, staff and parents
Ability to contribute to a positive, safe and caring learning environment
An understanding of rural community and culture
Requirements:
Must hold or be eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
(Please note, record check must be less than six (6) months old to date of application of your application.)
This teaching position falls under the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers’ Association and the Peace River School Division.
Annual Salary Range:
$ 62,702 to $ 105, 996 (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers’ Association and the Peace River School Division).
