“Speciality Cook(s)” to join their team permanently. In this position you will ensure a positive
company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and
associates. Speciality Cook(s) must know how to prepare and cook Indian Food, complete full
course meals, prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerance, individual Indian
dishes and sauces, rice vegetables etc. Prepare and cook special meals as instructed by chef for
take out and catering orders, must have knowledge of cooking different kinds and speciality Indian
foods such as butter chicken, curry, tandoori dishes and vegetarian dishes.

Salary: $34.10/ Hour
Hours: 30 to 35 hours/Week

Job Description: This Position requires to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
Prepare and cook ethnic and fusion Indian dishes such (curries, Naans, and Indian Vegetable)
and food in timely standards.
Train Staff to operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.
Prepare different Indian curries and other daily items according to instruction received.
Supervise Kitchen staff and other helpers and inspect Kitchen and food service area on regular
basis.
Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using method such
as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils.
Ensures that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
Prepare special dishes for those who have allergies, intolerance and or instructed by dietitian.
Monitor activities of staff such as fulfilling hot food request in a timely manner and monitor food
loss and maintain spoilage sheets.
Keep department continually clean, well-maintained, and organized.
Comply with Nutrition and sanitation regulation and safety standards.
Document waste and spoilage and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and
equipment.
Qualification and Professional Skills requirement:
Experience
5 to 7 years of experience is strongly preferred.
Education
Secondary School Education is required.
Skills
Previous Restaurant experience in a fine dining property is an asset.
Flexibility to work a variety shifts and Candidates must be available to workdays, evenings,
weekends and holidays, as business requires
Must understand units of measure for recipes.
Must be able to work with minimum supervision and be able to perform efficiently during high
volume peak periods.
Must be familiar with all type of Indian dishes served on our menu
Must be able to read, write and communicate well in English
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented multi-tasking environment
