Our family is in urgent need of an experienced and compassionate Personal Care Attendant to provide ongoing in-home care at our residence in Thornhill, Ontario.
The ideal candidate will have experience working as a Personal Care Attendant or a similar role, tending to individuals with high medical needs.
You will be responsible for:
Attending to a person with high medical needs and providing constant companionship
Assisting with bedside and personal care such as personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, dressing
Preparing dietary meals and assisting with the feeding process
Carrying out basic health-related tasks such as dressing changes and assisting with medication reminders
Performing light housekeeping tasks: making the bed, washing dishes after meals, and laundry
Requirements:
· At least 1 year of working experience as a Personal Care Attendant or a similar role
· Completion of Secondary School
· Completion of a training program (e.g. Caregiver) is an asset
· First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
· High attentiveness and excellent interpersonal skills
· Strong work ethic including accountability, punctuality and good judgement
· Availability and flexibility to work weekends
· Good command of English
Compensation and Conditions:
– $19.00 per hour based on 30-hour work week
– Permanent, full-time position
