Metal fabricator – structural metal and platework

Salary: 25.13 to 25.80 hourly (To be negotiated) / 30 to 40 hours per Week

Term: Permanent employment-Full time

Shifts: Day, Evening, Morning, Overtime

Starts as soon as possible

Languages: English

Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

or equivalent experience

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

On site & Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Determine materials required
  • Lay out reference points and patterns
  • Plan the sequence of tasks to cut metal most efficiently
  • Study engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine material requirements
  • Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines
  • Construct patterns and templates
  • Install fabricated components in final product
  • Rig, hoist and move materials to storage areas or within worksite
