Hours: 30 to 35 hours/Week
Work Setting: Manufacturing or processing industry
Job Description: The Maintenance engineering Lead will be performing the following duties and responsibilities:
Perform investigations on the viability, design, functionality and effectiveness of mechanisms, parts and systems
Supervise and Inspect equipments and plan installation, routine maintenance of plant equipment and machinery
Develop maintenance schedules and strategies to ensure optimal performance and relaibility of mechanical equipment
Supervise the team of review and approve designs, to diagnose mechanical issues, identify root causes of failures, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Provide guidance and direction to maintenance technicians, assigning tasks, and ensuring that maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and safely.
Plan and manage projects, manage budgets for maintenance activities, optimizing spendings to achieve maximum efficiency by stimating costs on equipment, systems and structures repair or replacement
Identify opportunities for improvement in maintenance processes and procedures, develop strategies and implement changes to increase efficiency, reliability and roductivity.
Eensure that all maintenance activities comply eith safety regulations and industry stansdards, implementing safety protocols to protect personnel and equipment.
Qualification and Professional Skills requirement:
Experience
1 to 2 years of experience is required for the position in related position
Education
Bachelor’s degree
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively; strong customer service skills
Team player with a positive approach; ability to coach and motivate others
Strong organizational, communication and financial skills
Ability to Supervise 3 to 4 employees
Knowledge of Robotic or controls, Rotating equipment tools, Nuclear power and Therman power
Previous experience in Quality Assurance, research and development is an asset but must have required 1 to 2 years to experience working in the same or similar position
Active and self motivated, able to sit for up to 8-9 hours throughout the workday
Extended workdays are a frequent occurrence, as weekends and holidays are needed to support the business.
