Job Description:
Somerville Farms (2014) Ltd. of Eatonia, SK, has been in operation for 30+ years and has grown to be a well-known and respected agricultural and commercial trucking company. We serve customers in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba & B.C., hauling grain, organics, fertilizer, potash, road salt, sand, liquid fertilizer and other bulk commodities. We are currently seeking a long haul truck driver to join our team and if you have a minimum of 6 months of previous related experience, the following skills and are a team player, apply today. Please note that this position is based out of Eatonia, SK and the successful applicant must therefore live in the area or be willing to relocate.
Job Duties:
· Operate and drive tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials on long-haul routes throughout Western Canada
· Performing pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems, equipment and cargo securement
· Communicate with operations supervisor and other drivers
· Completing paper work including log books, trip reports, inspection reports and other documents as needed
· Receive and relay information to central dispatcher
Requirements:
· Class 1A license
· Clean driver’s abstract
· Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50lbs)
