Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
Experience: 1-year to less than 2 years of experience of Class 1 driving
Languages: English

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Trans-border documentation, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports, Maintenance and repair reports, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone, GPS systems and other navigation equipment
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Job Duties/Specific Skills: Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Perform emergency roadside repairs, Perform brake adjustments, Perform preventive maintenance, Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption, obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, arrange travel related itineraries and make reservations, receive and relay information to central dispatch.
Security and Safety: Valid Passport, Bondable, Driver’s validity license check, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract), Drug Test, Basic Security clearance
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Sitting, Large workload, Attention to detail, Repetitive tasks, Overtime required.
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s license, willing to travel overnight and travel cross-border, willing to travel for extended periods, Drive manual transmission.
