ANTICIPATED START DATE: As soon as Possible
SALARY: $20.00 per Hour
HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 30 to 35 Hours/Week
WORK SETTING: Employer’s home
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide supervision and care for senior/patient in the employer's residence and assist with
daily activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming.
Safely transfer the patient to and from the wheelchair, bed or other surfaces using proper
lifting techniques.
Administer medications according to the prescribed schedule and keep accurate records of
medication administration
Prepare and assist with nutritious meals that adhere to any dietary restrictions, and assist
patient with eating if necessary
Keep track of health status, report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare
professional and follow prescribed care plan
Provide companionship and emotional support to the patient, engaging in conversations and
activities to promote mental well-being.
Perform light housekeeping duties such as changing bed sheets etc. to maintain safe and
comfortable environment for the patient and assist with transportation needs such ac
accompanying to medical appointments if needed.
Keep records of daily activities and maintain health information for patient, as required.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Secondary School graduation required or diploma/certificate in related field.
Experience is an asset.
Fluent in English and excellent verbal communication skills and high level of confidentiality,
integrity, ethics, and professionalism
Overtime maybe required sometimes, and position could be physically demanding
Good time management skills, client focus, flexibility, organized, reliable and excellent
interpersonal skills.
