Discover Terroni Sterling, a unique Terroni-Spaccio hybrid which shares an address with our Spaccio West location at 128A Sterling Road. In line with the distinctive style of Gruppo Terroni sister establishments throughout the city, Terroni Sterling found its home in the historic T.A. Lytle factory, constructed in 1882 and meticulously restored to accommodate this newest addition to our family.
Our guests have the pleasure of enjoying the convenience of a grocer and café, with the added option of dining in a full-service Terroni establishment. Immersing themselves in all things Italian, diners can savor their meals amidst the grocer shelves brimming with imported pantry essentials and our exclusive Italian wines. They may also peek through the window into our commissary kitchen to witness our team of artisans crafting the pasta for their primi.
Constantly growing and evolving we are looking for a Line Cook to join our kitchen team for full-time permanent position. In this position you will be responsible for the following:
– Plan, prepare and cook Italian cuisine including appetizers, main courses, and desserts
– Prepare and cook other dishes as advised by the Chef, depending on the season or any relevant holidays
– Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
– Estimate food requirements and maintain inventory of food, supplies, and equipment
– Ensure the kitchen is fully prepared for service (e.g. cutting ingredients, preparing sauces, marinating, etc.)
– Ensure superior quality of food once it leaves the kitchen
Position Requirements:
– At least 1 year of experience as a Cook, specializing in Italian Cuisine
– Secondary School Diploma
– Culinary/Cooking trade certifications/diplomas will be considered as an asset
– Safe Food handling certificates, WHMIS and CPR certifications are an asset
Compensation & Conditions:
– Permanent, full-time position
– $18.00 per hour with applicable overtime pay after 44 hours of work per week
– 37.5 hours of work per week
– Extended health and dental benefits
Be ready to work shifts consisting of mornings, afternoons and evenings.
