Kitchen Manager

 

Responsibilities:

·         Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff and ensure smooth operation of the kitchen

·         Ensure standards of food quality, presentation and operations

·         Monitor, maintain, and record inventories, sales, wastes, repairs, and write-ups of any issues and report to head chef if necessary

·         Prepare order summaries and reports

·         Be thoroughly knowledgeable and available to answer any questions regarding menus

·         Train staff in their duties, company procedures, sanitation and safety procedures

·         Perform all other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

·         2+ years of experience

·         Completion of secondary school

·         Proficiency in POS systems; familiar with software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

·         Able to work under pressure, produce results, handle numerous tasks at once

·         Excellent communication and people skills

·         Well-organized, able to multi-task and self-motivated

 

Working Conditions:

·         Must be flexible to work on evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed
