Junior Solutions Architect

Junior Solutions Architect is the support technical talent for the design and configuration of the various technology that PureSpirIT represents. This role is responsible for supporting the Solutions Architect in actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the Sales team. Junior Solutions Architect helps identifying technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process; establishes and maintains strong relationships throughout the sales cycle, and has a good working knowledge of project management.

Responsibilities / Activities

Desktop/Notebook Product Line

  • Support maintaining all technical aspects of the PureSpirIT.
  • Support relationships with key OEMs.
  • Maintain strong third-party relationships to enable the success of the business (i.e., logistics, support, and all product Imaging and asset tagging).
  • Support the preparation of technical aspects of the bid responses.
  • As directed, pre-order test evaluation units for eventual win of bids.
  • Work with the operations team to ensure that the company has all resources to enable the volume-based business for all products.
  • Assist clients on technical elements of the business.
  • Assist clients with technical issues that may not be covered by OEM’s support contract.
  • Attend product certification courses and effectively hold certificates for PureSpirIT.

Enterprise Pre Sales Architecture

  • Help architect IT solutions and work closely with the sales team and operations team.
  • Help identify resale opportunities and support them to achieve sales plans.
  • Help design and modify product configurations to meet various customer needs.
  • Support Project Management with manufacturer lead or third-party white label services.
  • Aid in preparing and delivering technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers.
  • Attend product certification courses and effectively hold certificates for PureSpirIT.
  • Attend company training seminars to become familiar with product lines.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, promote the sale of company products, and to provide sales support.
  • Support Solutions Architect in assessing business needs and determining system requirements.
  • Keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments.
  • Analyze and document how hardware, software and services lower costs or increase production for customers.
  • Assist sales team with products requiring technical expertise and support for installation and use.
  • Provide technical and non-technical support and services to clients or other staff members regarding the use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Train team members in the customer applications of technologies.
  • Periodically write technical documentation for products.
  • Other responsibilities identified by the team.

Skills and Attributes

The list of skills and attributes below are intended to describe excellent candidates that have some level of experience along with an appropriate educational background.  Those applicants that are recent graduates or students, will be given due consideration for their current status and provided with training.

Hardware:

  • Experience in configuring Server solutions
  • Experience in configuring SAN/NAS storage such as Lenovo.
  • Understanding Hyper-converged Architecture is an asset.
  • Have an understanding and willingness to learn Software

Software:

  • VMware VCP, VSAN, NSX
  • Redhat: Emerging Technologies
  • CommVault
  • Microsoft

Education and Skills:

  • College or University diploma in computer specific course or equivalent experience (or working towards)
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player
  • Strong organizational, judgement and leadership skills
  • Good sense of humor
