Hours per Week: 35

Salary: $19.25/ hour

Term of Employment: Contract

 

Job Duties:

​​Working at the workshop for producing, crafting, and processing Gold, Silver, Precious Stones, and Diamonds in the following stages:

Jewelry finishing
Repair of precious and semi-precious metal jewelry, such as necklaces, chains, rings, earrings, brooches, pendants, bangles and bracelets.
Crafting jewelry according to customer‘s requirements
Wax injection, wax modeling, wax repair
Casting, milling, stone setting, beading, product polishing
Rough grinding, fine grinding, shaping precious stones
Setting stones (gems, precious stones, semi-precious stones, diamonds) into mounts
Embedding precious and semi-precious stones into jewelry designs
Marking on gold, testing gold purity
Laser welding, electric furnace welding
Plating, polishing jewelry
Adjusting jewelry size
Refining and alloying gold
Appraising to distinguish different types of stones, identifying rare specimens, and detecting special features affecting stone value
Inspecting product quality, supporting in the purchase of Gold, Silver, and Precious Stones.
Job Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school

• Experience as an asset

Language:

English and Vietnamese/Cantonese Preferable
