We are looking to hire an experienced Italian Cuisine Cook to join our kitchen team for a full-time, permanent position.
Duties and responsibilities:
· Plan, prepare and cook Italian Cuisine, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts
· Prepare and cook other dishes as advised by management depending on the season or any relevant holidays
· Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
· Estimate food requirements and maintain inventory of food, supplies, and equipment
· Ensure the kitchen is fully prepped for service (e.g. cutting ingredients, preparing sauces, marinating, etc.)
· Ensure superior quality of food once it leaves the kitchen
· Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
Requirements:
· Secondary School Diploma
· At least 1 year of experience as a Cook
· Specialization in Italian cuisine is an asset
· Culinary/Cooking trade certifications/diplomas are assets
· Safe Food handling certificates, WHMIS and CPR certifications are assets
· Good command of English
Compensation/Work Schedule:
· Permanent, full-time position
· $19.00 per hour.
· Applicable overtime pay will apply after 44 hours of work per week
· 35 hours of work per week
