We have an immediate opening for an experienced inventory accounting technician whose tasks will center largely on computerized inventory entry, accounts receivable and accounts payable and various daily reconciliations. You are a mature, confident self-starter who has a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role. A background in an INVENTORY-BASED ENVIRONMENT is a REQUIREMENT. A good command of English, spoken and written is required. A business administration degree would be an asset.
We offer a small, friendly office setting where your role is key to maintaining our clean and efficient systems. You will be reporting to the Controller.
Responsibilities and requirements for this position include:
- Experience with, or ability to learn, computerized inventory receiving as it pertains to pricing adjustments, discount and freight charge monitoring, exchange impact and claim placement and follow-up.
- Strong numerical and reconciliation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Innate curiosity to investigate discrepancies and solve outstanding issues.
- Ability to self-direct and work quickly and accurately.
- Payment processing, credit card processor reconciliations and “soft” collections. AR statement management. Must be able to respectfully communicate with customers and vendors on issues that may present regarding payment, service delivery, etc.
- Bank deposits.
- Daily reconciliation of credit card deposits.
- Review and entry of AP invoices.
