Industrial Meat Cutters – Meadow Valley Meats
Meadow Valley Meats, headquartered in Chilliwack, BC is seeking to hire three (3) full-time,
permanent Industrial Meat Cutters (NOC 94141) to start work as soon as possible. Successful
applicants will work at our Grindrod plant, located at 179 Monk Rd, Grindrod, BC, V0E 1V4. Visit

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The position is permanent and full-time. Required to work overtime, some weekends, days,
evenings, nights, and shift work, as required.
Salary: $26.00 – $28.00 hourly (commensurate with experience) Wages are reviewed annually
with incremental increase given based on performance.
Hours: Minimum 36 – 40 hours per week

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Education: No formal education required; completion of Secondary (High) School is an asset
Experience: Minimum 3 years of related work experience

MAJOR JOB DUTIES:
• Slaughter livestock using stunning devices and knives
• Skin, clean and trim carcasses
• Remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses
• Split carcasses into smaller portions to facilitate handling
• Remove bones from meat
• Remove skin, excess fat, bruises or other blemishes from carcasses or meat portions
• Cut carcasses or sides or quarters of carcasses into primal cuts for further cutting,
processing or packaging
• May slaughter cattle, calves and sheep as prescribed by religious laws
• Cut meat into specific cuts for institutional, commercial or other wholesale use
