In Home Caregiver

Overview

Family of 4 looking for an experienced and reliable in-home caregiver to assist with the day-to-day care of two children (two boys aged 2 and 1).

Duties include:
· Supervising and caring for children in home
· Assisting with dressing, bathing, and feeding children
· Planning, preparing and serving meals for children
· Performing light housekeeping duties
· Overseeing children’s activities, such as meals and rest periods
· Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home
· Instructing children in personal hygiene
· Tending to the emotional well-being of children and supporting their social
development
· Disciplining children according to the methods requested by the parents
· Providing age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as
games, crafts, reading and outings
· Sterilize bottles, prepare formula, and change diapers
· Taking children to and from school/activities and to appointments
Wage and Hours: $19 per hour/35hrs per week/8:30 am to 3:30 pm on Mondays to Friday. Optional weekend work for overtime pay, as needed.

Terms of Employment: 2 year contract; Statutory benefits are included; private health insurance available until employee is eligible for provincial healthcare; travel
expenses/relocation costs covered by employer

Experience and Training required:
· Completion of secondary school
· Child care experience an asset
· First aid certification and CPR an asset
