PSI Concrete Pumping (KC’s Pumping Services Inc.) is a family owned and operated business located in Abbotsford, B.C. offering our services in Greater Vancouver, throughout the Fraser Valley and surrounding areas. This is an on-site job. We provide concrete pumping and placing and finishing services for industrial, commercial, institutional and road construction.
We are currently seeking to hire several Heavy Equipment Pump Operators (concrete pumps) in
permanent, full-time positions, to start as soon as possible for our many upcoming projects. You will be based out of Abbotsford, BC, and our projects are throughout the Greater Vancouver urban area. Our starting wage is $35.00/hour based upon a 40-hour work week. We offer health care benefits, dental benefits, vision care benefits and life insurance benefits. After one year you will be eligible for RRSP benefits. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
You should be willing to be flexible with shift work, on-call and willing to work overtime. Hours can be early morning, morning, day, evening, night as well as weekends. You must speak English. You should have completed high school and have between 1 to less than 2 years experience. You will be required to have steel toed safety boots.
Specifically, you will be operating heavy equipment (concrete pumps); clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks; conduct pre-operational checks on equipment; secure special attachments to equipment; operate two-way radios and other communication equipment; perform minor repairs to equipment; operate hydraulic pumping systems. As well, you will understand the purpose, proper usage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS); completing onboard and other logs; prepare accident reports; operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment.
You will need to have British Columbia heavy equipment operator trade certification, a valid driver’s license (Class 1 or A) valid driver’s license (Class 3 or D), Air Brake Z endorsement and Power Line Hazardous training. The work can be physically demanding in a fast-paced environment that is outdoors.
You must have good attention to detail. Overtime is required. Our work sites are
industrial/commercial/institutional (ICI) and road construction and you should have this type of industry experience.
