Wage: $35.00 per hour, 40-44 hours / week

Job Description: Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on various makes/models of trucks, trailers, and off-road equipment; Troubleshoot/inspect all types of equipment for defects or malfunctions; Diagnose fault or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extend of repair required; Repair and test various types of equipment for proper performance; Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work; Order parts and maintain inventory; May instruct apprentices; Keep maintenance reports and other documentation; Attend to servicing/repairing various shop equipment and tools
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience as a heavy-duty mechanic
Work Setting / Work Site Environment: In shop, Outdoors, Noisy
Credentials: Red Seal or eligible to obtain Alberta Red Seal Endorsement;
Transportation/Security and Safety: Valid driver’s license: Driving record (abstract), Drug test; Steel-toed safety boots
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Bending, crouching, kneeling
Personal Suitability: Dependability, Reliability
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
