We are currently looking to hire a professional and dedicated Hair Colourist to join our team of beauty professionals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Consult with clients on hair colour options based on their hair type, skin tone, facial features, and personal preferences, or determine colour styles from clients’ instructions and preferences.
Apply various colouring techniques such as balayage, highlights, lowlights, ombre, and more.
Blow-dry and style hair according to clients’ preferences.
Rinse clients’ hair to remove any product buildup and prepare for colouring, and provide post-colouring treatments.
Analyze hair and scalp conditions, providing basic treatments or advice on beauty care for the scalp and hair.
Instruct clients on maintaining their hair colour.
Stay updated on current colouring trends.
Maintain a strong inventory of hair dyeing products.
Keep appointments on schedule.
Build and maintain relationships with clients to ensure return visits.
Adhere to salon safety and cleanliness standards.
May train other hair colourists and assistants.
Requirements:
Secondary School Diploma
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the similar role
Strong knowledge of the English language
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good verbal communication
Creative mindset and a good eye for design
Compensation and Conditions:
$18.00 per hour for a 30-hour work week (overtime pay will apply after 44 hours of work per week, if applicable)
Permanent, full-time position
