Front of House Supervisor

But now, back to our bread: using traditional ingredients and methods, our bread is made from high-quality grains and flours that we import from a third generation family run mill in the Marche region in Italy. At this time, we are looking to hire an organized and dedicated Front of House Supervisor to coordinate the work of the serving team – servers, hosts, bartenders, and bussers.

 

Duties will include the following:

 

·         Supervise, co-ordinate and assign the work of the serving team

·         Establish work schedules and procedures for the serving team

·         Maintain staff discipline and conduct in strict accordance with restaurant policies and procedures

·         Ensure established standards of cleanliness and sanitation are being met, as well as execute daily and weekly cleaning projects

·         Ensure opening and/or closing duties are completed efficiently and thoroughly including closing the register for the night (printing POS-terminal reports and reconciling cash)

·         Ensure proper staffing for maximum productivity and high standards of client service

·         Conduct training of serving team on job duties and safety procedures

·         May participate in the selection of serving staff

·         Ensure that service meets quality control standards and support all levels of service with an aim to foster long-term guest relationships

 

Compensation/Work Schedule:

 

·         Permanent, full-time position

·         $18.00 per hour with applicable overtime pay after 44 hours of work per week

·         37.5 hours of work per week

Requirements of the position:

 

·         Secondary school diploma

·         At least 7 months of work experience as a Front of House Supervisor or similar role

·         College diploma in food service administration, hotel, and restaurant management, or related discipline is an asset

·         Good English language skills, oral and written
