Title of position:                              Food Services Supervisor

Terms of employment:                   Permanent – Full Time Position

Salary:                                                An hourly rate of $18.50 for 36 to 44 hours per week

Food Services Supervisor is entitled.

Vacation: 4%

The salary will be subject to regular review based on annual performance.

Job duties:

·         Supervise, direct and coordinate restaurant team members throughout their shift

·         Schedule staff and assigns duties and provides ongoing, specific direction to team members

·         Lead by example and demonstrates the importance of treating every team member and guest with respect

·         Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who serve food;

·         Train staff in job duties, sanitization and safety procedures;

·         Orientate and monitors new team members

·         Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for food preparation;

·         Maintaining all inventories required for food department, keeping records of quantity of food used and preparing food for storage;

·         Ensures that all product and packaging is properly merchandised and stocked

·         Handling guest feedback and queries;

·         Supervises team members to ensure primary and secondary duties are completed

·         Responds to guest service complaints in a timely manner, resolving problems and turning potentially negative situations into positive situations

·         Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards; and

·         Preparing reports and other performance analysis documentation for management.

Job Requirements – Skills requirements:

·         Completion of secondary school

·         Previous experience in food preparation or service (7 months or more of related experience)

·         Completion of college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline an asset

·         Proven leadership and problem-solving skills

·         Driven and focused. Passion for people and service excellence
