Tasks:
• Assist in basic food preparation and special function catering as directed.
• Check food plating and temperature.
• Conduct daily inspection of the kitchen and services to identify and resolve problem issues and establish corrective action.
• Conduct weekly sanitation inspections.
• Ensure all menu items and food supplies are available to maintain consistency.
• Ensure strict compliance of compass quality assurance and health safety programs.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve them in cordial manner.
• Supervise kitchen and coordinate food orders.
• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion, and serve food.
• May plan catering menus and determine related food and labour costs.
• Establish methods to meet work schedules.
• Prepare for food order summaries for chef according to request from customers.
