Description:
As a Food Service Supervisor, you are responsible for running a shift to Tim
Hortons standards and local labour laws, in the absence of more senior
management. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation and maintain
high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
Job duties are as follows but not limited to:
• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare,
portion and serve food
• Establish kitchen routine to ensure smooth operations of kitchen
operations
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation and food safe procedures
• Expedite food orders
• Manage on shift cash flow
• Responsible for staffing on shift, fill staff shortages when needed
• Coordinate staff break schedule
• Ensure products are adequately stocked at all times
• Assist with unloading food truck and manage new inventory
• Maintain records of stock, inventory, sales and wastage
• Check inventory for food expiration dates (FIFO)
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
• Ensure food orders are accurately portioned and made to correct order
• Resolve customer complaints
• Liaison escalated customer issues to Management
• Provide on-going customer service
• Ensure overall cleanliness of restaurant
Job Requirements:
Secondary (high school) education
Minimum 7 months to 1 year of supervisory experience in food service
Additional Job Requirements:
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet operational needs, including early
morning, afternoon and evening shifts
