Position: Food Service Supervisor

Main Duties:
– Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food.
– Anticipate and order ingredients and supplies needed to prepare meals.
– Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
– Prepare food summaries for a chef according to requests from special customers.
– Respond to customer issues.
– Supervise work area, equipment cleaning and maintenance and ensure adherence to all safety procedures pertaining to work methods and equipment operation.
– Instruct and give on-the-job training to others, including performance evaluation and disciplinary action recommendations.
– May oversee standardization of recipes and menu preparation.
Requirements:
– Education: Completion of secondary school is usually required.
– Experience: 2 years of supervisory experience in food preparation or service are required.
Hourly wage: $18.50 – $20.00 per hour.
Working hours: 30 – 40 hours per week.
