We are in search of a File Clerk to join us full-time as a member of our support services team.

Role Overview

Our File Clerks provide general support in a variety of areas to ensure a smooth operation for our offices, teams, clients, and files we serve.

Our law firm is growing fast with plenty of development opportunities for someone who is quick on their feet with administrative skills and great communication. You must be engaging, organized, and proficient, especially using MS Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook).

1.     Filing documents in accordance with firm procedures, placing importance on accuracy.

2.     Making copies of legal documents, invoices, arranging for courier package pick-ups or deliveries.

3.     Assisting with document organization (e.g., scanning, saving, copying) and producing binders.

4.     Preparing documents including (drafting, formatting, editing) correspondence, memos, etc.

5.     Providing general administrative support to our teams, as requested.

6.     Performing other related duties and tasks, as required.

Qualifications

This ideal candidate for this position meets the following requirements:

1.     Education and/or equivalent work experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant or related area of discipline, required.

2.     A team player that adapts to fast-paced environments with minimal supervision.

3.     Effective listening, verbal, and written communications skills.

4.     High level of initiative, (knowing when to seek appropriate advice).

5.     Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

6.     Strong organizational skills.

7.     Computer skills including proficiency with Office 365, (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook).

8.     Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.

9.     Reliability, flexibility, and dependability are essential for this position.

10. Interest in working with Indigenous nations, communities, businesses, or organizations will be required.

Woodward offers meaningful work, meaningful relationships, and a great workplace culture. We offer an anticipated salary range of $45,000 to $55,000 per year (to be negotiated with consideration for education and experience) with a generous range of benefits, including health, dental, RSP contributions, three weeks of vacation, wellness, relocation, and professional development allowances.

Woodward offers flexibility with a hybrid work model. This position is in our Victoria office.
