Position: Executive Assistant
Wage: $32.00 per hour plus 4% vacation pay

Hours: 30 hours per week

 

About Us:
The Riley Park Hillcrest Community Association (RPHCA) is a non-profit association dedicated to enhancing community engagement and fostering a welcoming environment for all residents. We are seeking a motivated and organized Executive Assistant to join our team and support our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to the President, Executive Directors and programming staff.
Manage schedules, coordinate meetings, and prepare agendas.
Handle correspondence, including emails and phone calls, with professionalism and discretion.
Maintain organized files and documentation.
Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other materials.
Manage office supplies and ensure efficient office operations.
Support community programs and events as needed.
Act as principal vessel of communication between the President of the Board and the Board members.
Be responsible for the Board to adhere to the RPHCA and BC Society bylaws.
Attend and take minutes during the weekly/monthly meetings with the President/Board members and other committees.
Perform research and information management.
Manage social media accounts and edit association website
Work on finance reports with the Association accountant support
Qualifications:

Education: A minimum of a diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
Several years experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar administrative role.
Experience with non-profit organizations’ Board of Directors is an asset.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Fluent in English
Ability to deal with confidential information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with office equipment.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work hybrid and participate in in-person meetings.
Basic Finance knowledge is considered an asset.
BC Society bylaws working knowledge is an asset.
