Early Childhood Educator Assistant

At this time we are looking for an experienced Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team who would be responsible for the following duties:

Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
Assist with proper eating, dressing and bathroom habits
Submit written observations of children to early childhood educators or supervisors
Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and issues of children
May assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Completion of secondary school diploma is required
At least 1 year experience as a childcare assistant is required
Be passionate about children and working in a classroom environment
Demonstrate reliability and commitment
Have excellent communication skills
Good English language skills are needed
Terms and Conditions:

Permanent, full-time employment – 40 hours per week
Compensation: $20.50 per hour. An overtime rate of 1 ½ of base pay will apply after 44
hours of work per week
Location of work: 171 Greenbank Rd., Nepean, ON K2H 5V6
