Job Duties:
Create and implement data administration policies, standards, and models to maintain data integrity and consistency.
Analyze and document data requirements, collection methods, access rules, and security protocols.
Develop procedures for database access via networks or the Internet, and establish processes for data backup and recovery.
Conduct research and advise IT professionals on the collection, availability, security, and suitability of data for organizational needs.
Write and optimize scripts for stored procedures and database triggers to improve efficiency and functionality.
May lead and coordinate a team of data administrators in implementing data standards, policies, and best practices.
May lead the project involving IT-related automation integration.
Skills Requirements:
Education:
A bachelor’s degree or master degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, data science, or a related field is required.
Work Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in database administration or a similar role.
Experienced in the insurance industry (including experience at insurance or reinsurance company, MGA, or brokerage)
Proficiency with database management systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
Intermediate experience with data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
Experience with data migration, optimization techniques, and database security practices.
Proficiency in one of these computing languages: Java, python, R
Other Skills:

Knowledge of database security protocols and best practices.
