Oddfish Restaurant is a neighborhood seafood restaurant that serves fish and vegetables with a fun and energetic vibe, brought to you by the folks who created Nook and Tavola. Located in Kitsilano, we are now hiring experienced cooks.

Job Duties:
– Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
– Prepare ingredients to use. Washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables. Weighing and measuring ingredients.
– Cook completes various foods according to our recipe.
– Check food while cooking to stir/or turn.
– Inspecting food for quality and presentation standards.
– Stocking and storing. Monitoring inventory levels, ordering supplies, and storing food properly to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.
– Following recipes precisely to maintain consistency in flavor and presentation.
– Work with specialized equipment such as deep-fryer and grill etc.
– Clean kitchen and work area.
– May schedule and/or train kitchen helpers.
– Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
Requirement:
– Completion of secondary school.
– 2+ years of cooking experience required.
Wage: $17.62 – $21.00 per hour
Work Hours: 30 – 40 hours per week.
