Duties:
prepare and cook complete meals
prepare and cook special meals for individuals as instructed
plan meal
determine food portions
estimate food requirements and cost
maintain records of food, supplies and equipment
clean kitchen
organize and manage kitchen operation
Have to put away food orders on delivery.
Keep things organised in fridge and freezer.
Keep the kitchen and dining area clean for service.
Keep the standards of Health Departments and keep it a good standing.
Serve the residence with help of server during food services.
Delivery of food to the residence appartments if unable to come to dining hall.
Help managers for inventory.
Bringing garbage out of the kitchen to the bins outside the building.
Make food plan for the weeks ahead and be available for cooking
Basically, helping all the aspects related to food and residence needs.
Qualifications: Secondary school, completion of college or other program in cooking, 1 year of cooking experience. Food Safe Handlers certificate and Vulnerable Sector Check are required within 3 months of start date.
