In our café at The Garden we serve organic and fair-trade beverages. We make all of our fresh baked treats, breakfast and lunch bowls from scratch in-house. We value using ethically-sourced ingredients always and choose local products whenever possible at our café. Now we are hiring for the Cook position.

Wage: $17.65~$18.00 CAD per hour
Working hours: 30-40 hours a week.
Working Location: 868 E Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC V6A 1R6
Responsibilities:
– Set up a workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
– Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.)
– Cook complete various foods according to the recipe and procedure
– Order or receive food supplies and check the quality of ingredients
– Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
– Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers, and oversee kitchen operations
– May clean kitchen and work area
Requirement:
– Completion of secondary school
– 2+ years of commercial cooking experience is required.
