Nook Restaurant is a neighbourhood Italian restaurant that serves antipasto, housemade pasta and pizza, and great wine from small vineyards. One of our locations, Nook Olympic Village is now hiring experienced Cook positions.

Job Duties:
– Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
– Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
– Cook completes various foods according to our recipe.
– Check food while cooking to stir/or turn.
– Check the quality of ingredients.
– Order or receive food supplies after selecting the best qualities.
– Ensure all food meets food safety and quality standards.
– Work with specialized equipment such as deep-fryer and grill etc.
– Clean kitchen and work area.
– May schedule and/or train kitchen helpers.
– Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
Job Requirements:
– Completion of secondary school.
– 2+ years of cooking experience required.
– Good communication skills.
Wage: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
Work Hours: 30 – 40 hours a week.
