Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time 30 to 40 hours / week

Education: Education is an asset.
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of professional cooking experience.
Credentials: Safe Food Handling certificate (can be obtained within 3 weeks of commencing the employment)

Job requirements and Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
Assist management to plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
Inspect kitchens and food service areas
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Assist management to order supplies and equipment,
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
Clean kitchen and work areas
Assist management to manage kitchen operations
