Salary$16 / hour (with experience and service, a cook can make up to $20)
Vacancies: 3 vacancies
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time; 35 to 40 hours / week
Start date: As soon as possible
Benefits: free food on shift/discounts on days off.
Employment conditions: must be able to work any shift including evenings, weekends and holidays. The restaurant is open 7 days a week and hours vary.
Education: is an asset
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in professional cooking

Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required.
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerance.
Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Clean and maintain station in practicing food safety and sanitation.
Carry out basic cleaning tasks around the premises.
Escalate major issues when necessary (e.g. safety risks, equipment failure).
Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes.
Assist chef with plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies,
Train and supervise junior staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food,
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment,
Organize and manage buffets and banquet when necessary,
Assist chefs to Manage kitchen operations.
Other duties as requested.

Credentials : Safe Food Handling certificate ( can be obtained and provide within 3 weeks of commencing employment)
