Responsibilities:
· Transport materials and tools to and from trucks to the construction site.
· Assist in the setup and breakdown of tools at the work site.
· Assist in installing tiles according to a predetermined layout or pattern.
· Practice company policies to promote safety and compliance.
· Determine materials needed for the daily shift and load vehicles with equipment and supplies.
· Cut tiles to fit obstacles, corners or edges using the tile cutters or saws.
· Spray materials such as water, sand and steam through hoses to clean, coat and seal surfaces.
· Use rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other machinery, remove scraps and other debris from construction sites.
· Assist in sealing the tiles by applying sealant to grout lines and tile surface as required.
· Assist operators of heavy equipment with the securing of specialized attachments to equipment
· Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants and remove asbestos and other hazardous materials.
