With over five years of experience in the industry, Spike On Site Solutions has been helping our clients across the GTA keep their jobsite immaculately clean. We offer builders a variety of simple solutions to construction site maintenance at any phase. From interior cleanup to demolition, we are fully equipped to take on any job.
At this time, we are looking for a Construction Helper to join our team. The successful candidate will perform the following duties:
· Load and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas
· Dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks required at construction and renovation sites
· Assist in demolishing structures using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile the salvaged materials
· Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
· Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed
· Assist construction and renovation staff in their activities
· Direct traffic at or near construction sites
· Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Experience as a general construction worker is an asset
· Secondary school diploma is an asset
· Must be able to work outdoors and in changing weather conditions
· Team player, client focused and flexible
· Work in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to handle heavy loads as work is physically demanding
· Good English skills
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
· Permanent, full-time position
· $25.00 per hour for 30-35 hours of work per week
· Overtime pay applies after 44 hours of work per week
