Job Description:

Deveraux Developments is seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Estimator to join our expanding team in Calgary. With a secured five-year pipeline of projects across Western Canada, this opportunity offers strong future prospects. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a vital role in creating meticulously prepared and accurate estimates which you will effectively communicate to the project team at different stages of project development. You will be required to:
· Prepare accurate and well-organized estimates, for probable costs of materials, labour and equipment, and proposals in a timely manner for various project types, including Stipulated Price, Design-Build, and Construction/Project Management projects.
· Develop, manage and maintain a comprehensive unit pricing and material/labor cost database and create detailed cost breakdowns based on estimates for project progress draws ensuring accurate and relevant information.
· Read blueprint, schemas and drawings
· Utilize computer-aided technology such as PlanSwift or Bluebeam to perform quantity takeoffs.
· Establish and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
· Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors for project materials and services.
· Assist in the procurement of sub-contractors, including developing trade scope of works, issuing tenders, and preparing Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quotation (RFQ) documents.
· Monitor and track changes to design and construction work, adjusting budget projections accordingly
· Manage and coordinate construction projects and prepare construction progress schedules.
· Conduct site visits as necessary to gather relevant project information.
