Chef de Partie
Responsibilities:
· Assist executive chef in planning, directing, and supervising food preparation and cooking activities of cooks and other kitchen staff
· Assist executive chef in planning menus and ensuring the quality standard of food and service
· Responsible for the preparation of all menu items and daily specials
· Ensure the smooth running of the kitchen operation
· Communicate with and train cooks to ensure smooth and efficient operation
· Maintain work location clean and safe and follow food safety procedure
· Ensure proper stocking of food items and fills all necessary paperwork as needed
· Perform other duties as assigned by executive and sous chefs
Requirements:
· 3+ years of experience working in a commercial kitchen environment
· Completion of secondary school
· Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy items and standing for extended periods
· Able to multitask and work under pressure in a high-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
· Team player, able to work in close conditions with several other people
· Knowledge and understanding of health and safety regulations
Working Condition:
· Able to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekend
· Overtime available

Salary $23.00 (CAD) per hour
