Catering Event Manager

Coast Restaurant is seeking a full time Catering Event Manager
Coast Restaurant @ 1054 Alberni Street, Vancouver, BC
Job Description:
▪ Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a restaurant, bar, cafeteria or
other food or beverage service
▪ Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
▪ Recruit staff and oversee staff training
▪ Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance
▪ Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices
▪ Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
▪ Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
▪ Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering or use of facilities for banquets or receptions.
• Proactively Solicit Event Sales
Requirements:
· min 1 year experience in similar position and environment
· must have passion for the hospitality industry
· proficient in MS office
· excellent leadership and motivation skills
· strong interpersonal skills
· ability to prioritize, organize and follow through as necessary
· a clear thinker
· capacity to work well under pressure
· ability to hold oneself and others accountable
· ability to communicate in English
· high school graduate

Benefits:
• Wage: $30.00 per hour
• Minimum 30 hours per week
• Extended Health/Dental after 3 months of employment
• Cell phone & dry cleaning allowance
