J & D Corner Store is looking for Cashiers!
Location at 212 Railway Avenue Grandview, MB Postal Code: R0L 0Y0. This position will pay 14.50 hourly for 30 hours per week, minimum, and is will be full-time, permanent employment. The position is to start as soon as possible. There are two vacancies for the above. Applicant will have the ability to communicate in basic English. Completion of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent. In terms of experience the applicant should have 7 months to less than 1 year. This business is retail & a gas bar. A criminal record check will be required. Parking is free & available. NOC 65100.
Cashier tasks will be:
· Operate cash register
· Process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments
· Scan items
· Tabulate total payment for goods or services required
· Receive payment for goods or services
· Calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales
· Suggestive selling
· Stock shelves and clean counter area
· Greet customers
· Wrap or place merchandise in bags
· Provide customer service
· Monitor all entrances and exits, request proof of payment when necessary
· Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, or tobacco products
Computer and technology knowledge
