J&S Cabinet Doors is a custom woodworking company specializing in the
manufacture of high-end cabinet doors in a variety of wood species since
1997. From Maple, Oak, and Cherry to exotics like Paduk, Achi, and Opepe,
we endeavor to take lumber from its raw state and transform it into precision
crafted designer pieces. We maintain exacting standards with a program of
rigorous quality checks for all our cabinet doors, whether destined for
specialty unit kitchens or for high-density living projects such as townhomes
and condominiums.
We are currently searching for a Cabinetmaker to join our team.

Job Location: 104-12975 84 Avenue Surrey, BC

Wages: $ 22.00 / Hour

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Work setting: Custom cabinet shop

Job Requirements:

·         Study plans, specifications, or blueprints of articles to be made or prepare specifications.

·         Work with high-speed woodworking machinery such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, shapers, and hand tools to cut, shape, and create parts and components.

·         Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.

·         Trim joints, glue, clamp pieces, and subassemblies together to make a complete unit; strengthen joints using nails, screws, or other fasteners.

·         Customize procedures and equipment to fulfil production deadlines, coordinating extra resources to meet tight deadlines.

·         Structure and construct cabinet doors for residential and commercial clients while keeping scheduling and budget limitations.

·         Ensure cabinet and aesthetics fit into the intended installation space.

·         Estimate the quantity, Kind, and cost of materials needed for each task selecting appropriate materials.

·         Maintain a safe working environment by cleaning and disposing of old materials, such as nails and screws.

·         Be exact in measurements and Markings to use materials efficiently and meet budgetary restrictions of the projects.

·         Wearing the requisite uniform and taking necessary precautions to remain safe.
