Tasks
· Reqiusition or order materials, equipment and supplies
· Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
· Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff
· Draw up production schedules
· Train staff
· Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
· Inspect kitchen and food service areas
· Organize and maintain inventory
Job Duties
Lead and manager a team of skilled day & evening bakers.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
Provide guidance, training, and motivation to ensure team success.
Prepare baked goods, soups and cream cheeses consistently by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
Ensures timely delivery of products between store locations and monitor inventory levels.
Manage inventory and control costs to maximize profitability.
Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume to keep the bakery operating to standard and to set a positive example for the team.
Communicate effectively with the team and coordinate with suppliers for ingredient deliveries.
Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.
Manage bakery inventory, minimizing waste and optimizing stock levels.
Collaborate with business owner to develop and introduce new, innovative bakery items.
Responsible for keeping bakery in a clean and orderly condition.
Maintains regular and punctual attendance standards so that the team can operate efficiently and effectively.
Work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Follows all store operating policies and standards, including providing quality products, store safety and security.
Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy loads.
